How to Create Packages
March 10, 2026
Managing Packages and Services
The Packages section of the HITEK platform controls how services appear inside quotes and bookings. Packages group services into predefined offerings. Individual services represent specific items such as add-ons, extras, or discounts. Managing these correctly keeps pricing consistent and helps your team build jobs faster.
Start by logging into the HITEK web portal. From the left navigation menu, open the Packages section. This page is divided into two areas at the top of the screen.
Packages
Services
You can switch between these tabs depending on what you want to manage.
Managing Packages
The Packages tab displays all package offerings available in your system. At the top of the page you will see the total number of packages and a search bar that allows you to quickly locate a specific package.
If you need to create a new package, select Add Package. This allows you to define a bundled service that can be applied during quotes or bookings.
If packages already exist, you can search for them using the search bar or select one from the list to view its details in the panel on the right side of the screen. From there you can review or modify the package configuration.
Packages are commonly used to group services together. Examples include complete tint packages, protection packages, or bundled installation options.
Managing Services
Services represent individual items that can be applied to quotes and bookings. To manage them, switch to the Services tab.
This section shows the total number of services and includes a search tool that helps locate specific entries. If you need to add a new service, click Add Service.
A service creation window will open where you can define the details of the service.
Name
Enter the name of the service. This should clearly identify what the service represents.
Category
Choose the appropriate category from the dropdown list. Categories determine where the service appears when building quotes or bookings. Common categories include job services, add-ons, extras, discounts, and other custom service types.
Price
Enter the default price for the service. This price will automatically populate when the service is selected during job creation.
Description
Provide a short description that explains what the service includes. This helps your staff understand when and how the service should be applied.
Service Image
Upload an image that visually represents the service. This can help staff identify services quickly when building jobs.
After completing all fields, select Create to add the service to your system. If you need to exit without saving, choose Cancel.
Once created, the service will appear in the services list where it can be selected for viewing or editing.
Best Practices
Keeping packages and services organized helps maintain accurate pricing and a smooth quoting process. Service names should remain clear and descriptive so staff can identify them quickly. Pricing should stay consistent across similar service categories to avoid confusion.
Discounts should always be created under the discount category so they apply correctly within the system. Job level services should remain separate from extras to keep workflows organized.
Managing packages and services correctly ensures that quotes and bookings can be built faster while keeping pricing consistent across your team.
